OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.........GAMING!!!!!!

As the title of this post suggests.... I love gaming, i mean its probably in my top five things in life..... ooooo idea for my next Blog right there...... Anyway.... On with the Blog...

I do quite a few videos based around gaming, and the subject of games gets me excited (not in that way you Cretin....). Gaming is an art form, practiced by skilled people who have a love for the art, i know some people look at it and go "oh wow... a game, big whoop, you are a sad loser for playing video games." Well to those people i say Bugger Off... you have your TOWIE and Geordie Shore.... i have my Halo and Gears of War.... its each to their own, i would rather spend an hour immersed in a game then watching a bunch of inbred mindless whelps trying to sleep with each other...... Like i said, each to their own.

I'm going to list off some of my choice games to play and tell you why i like them, whether they are old or new..... feel free to judge but take it as a F**k you if i don't respond ;) i joke, i always respond (eventually).

SO ONTO THE LIST:

10.) DANTE'S INFERNO. (EA):

Now, As those of you who watch Mine and Michael's videos, i HATE EA...... there are several reasons for that... namely it's EA and i hate them..... catching on? good.. Dante's Inferno its self is actually an awesome game, i mean, How can you not love descending the ranks of Hell to reclaim your lost love and kill the dark angel Lucifer? COME ON! YOU GET TO KILL LUCIFER!!!!

It's a Devil May Cry Style fighter, but it's in a league of it's own, each level as you descend the rings of Hell brings new horrors, until you don't know whether you should play it or cry in a corner... OH, and it's made by Visceral.... Who made Dead Space 1, 2 and 3..... seriously three of the scariest games ever.... i'll explain why later.

I recommend this game for thrill seekers and people who are interested in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy... I also recommend reading the book.... Seriously go and read it now!

9.) Hunted, The Demons Forge. (Bethesda):

Cue the rotten tomatoes and pitchforks..... this is going to annoy so many people....

The reason this game is on my list is mainly because of the legendary voice acting of Graham McTavish, a man of so many talents that he saves this game from disappearing into obscurity, well him and the fact it's basically a cheaper fantasy version of GEARS OF WAR!!!!!!!!!

Hunted is a fantasy action game That delivers a fresh take on the classic dungeon crawl with the intensity of a modern-day shooter. as Caddoc or E'lara, fight through besieged towns and sprawling dungeons as you follow a trail of corruption and deceit. work alone or with a friend, hunted encourages co-op play as you work to untangle the mystery of the Demon's Forge.

I was seriously skeptical of this game when i first started playing it, after about forty five minutes to an hour i was loving it, it's like a mash up of Gears of war and Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.... Not a great one.... But one nonetheless... I like it... Don't hate on it until you tried it!

8.) Fallout 3. (Bethesda.):

From the creators of Oblivion comes Fallout 3, featuring one of the most realised game worlds ever created. create any character you want and explore the open wastes of post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other Dangers of the wasteland.

This game revolutionised open world gaming for me, to be able to do what you want and go where you want when you want? it was truly amazing to experience this freedom, OK so you have to run away from Mutants and Lizards who wanna eat your bones..... still better then watching Twilight... well..... even the entry above is better then Twilight..... so's getting hit with a car..... not a very good example..... hmmmmm.....

The way this game handles is amazing, and there's loads of little cameos throughout the game... my personal being Liam Neeson as your father, the rest you will have to find yourselves, i'm not a walk through (Same can't be said for my ex.) i encourage you to go out there and blaze your own path, remember.... don't drink the water!

7.) Medal of Honor. (EA.):

First of all... this is not a Rip off of Call of Duty (it was released four years before any Call of Duty game!). I've spent years arguing this bloody point and i'm always right about it.

This is another game that i was rather doubtful about, but after i started playing i started to love it, the single player is engaging and you start to love the characters and the missions are inventive rather then copy and pasted (unlike a certain other game series..... hence why Medal of Honor is better then Call of Duty).

The Multiplayer though there aren't many maps is absolutely amazing, the unlock tree works for three different tiers, Rifleman, Specialist and Sniper, is imaginative and works to keep you entertained while trying to attain the rank of Warfighter...

6.) Prototype (Activision.):

so many things could be said for this game, it's basically a sandbox sci-fi game where you play as Alex Mercer, a man with no memory and no mercy, the whole game is based around you hunting, shape shifting and killing your way to the center of the conspiracy of why you were created, making those who made you into a mutated bad-ass pay with their lives....

I heard nothing but good things about this game, i am always skeptical when i hear reviews on games, i have to see it and experience it to believe it, and i must admit i was pleasantly surprised, even though it has problems, it works around them and makes them part of the game, i like the fact Activision accept their games have problems, and actually work on them rather then trying to cover them up with DLC and other Rubbish that isn't actually needed! Which makes a nice change.

5.) Left 4 Dead 1 & 2. (Valve.)

You can't say Co-op Multiplayer and not think of Left 4 dead... Nothing says teamwork like smashing in the skulls of the undead, healing eachother when needed and also running like a bitch when that Witch comes a-calling, Yessir! if its a fast paced fight for survival you want look no further then Left 4 Dead 1 and 2!

I count these under the same heading as they are basically the same game, as the second game is a continuation of the first (as explained in the Sacrifice DLC, coincidentally one of the few DLC's i didnt mind buying... I wonder why?). although some people may find it repetitive it is kinda meant to be a zombie apocalypse which would mainly be running from safe house to safe house, so it gets away with it, also the hours of running away from various special zombies and the voices your friends make while you play makes it an amazing experience in gaming....

Also if any of your friends say they are bored then feel free to shoot the Witch or attempt to take on the Tank with a frying pan, i promise you it will give everyone a laugh.

4.) Assassins Creed. (Ubisoft.)

You are Altair, Walking the streets of Jerusalem, You are Ezio Auditore, climbing the towers of Constantinople, You are Ratonhnhaké:ton, Hunting the British in the Wilderness, you are Edward Kenway, Sailing the high seas under a black flag, You are man, You are Legend, You are an Assassin.... and this is your Creed.

This is another game series that i am going to cover under one heading, its just too good to choose which one to write about in particular, so i'm going to give them all a mention, starting at the Beginning...

"Jerusalem, the twelfth century. Amidst the chaos of the Third Crusade, a Brotherhood of warriors rose to power. Shrouded in secrecy, feared for their ruthlessness, they alone would save the Holy Land, or destroy it. They were the Assassins."
Assassin's Creed E3 Trailer.

Assassin's Creed is a 2007 sandbox style action-adventure-stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft

The game centers around the use of a machine dubbed the "Animus", which allows its user to view the genetic memories of his or her ancestors, centering around the protagonist, a bartender named Desmond Miles. As Desmond relives the memories of one of his ancestors, the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad who lived in the Holy Land during the Third Crusade, details of a battle between two ancient sects the Knights Templar and the Assassin Order emerge as both scour for an artifact known only as a "Piece of Eden." In short words you get to be a Bad-ass Assassin in a time where oddly... it kinda makes sense, adding in the modern day twist? well that just wetted our appetite for more, which is why Gamers celebrated what came next.....

"I did not choose this path. It was chosen for me. At first, I thought vengeance would be easy. For thirty years I've lived in the shadows, visited death upon those who deserved it, and vanished like the wind. I don't know who started this conspiracy, but I know who will end it. My name is Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Like my father before me, I am an Assassin."―Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Assassin's Creed II Launch Trailer.

Assassin's Creed II is a 2009 video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.

the game focuses again on Desmond Miles after he escapes from Abstergo Industries with the help of employee Lucy Stillman. In an attempt to thwart Abstergo and the modern-day Templars, Desmond uses a new Animus to relive the genetic memories of his ancestor, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who lived in Italy during the Renaissance. The player controls Desmond to a degree, but primarily Ezio, who becomes an Assassin after his family is betrayed. While controlling Ezio, the player can explore renditions of major Italian regions and cities through a mixture of action, stealth, and economic gameplay.

Brotherhood also follows Ezio Auditore da Firenze, now a legendary Master Assassin, as he strives to rebuild the Assassin Brotherhood in Rome, by bringing down the tyrannical Templar family, the Borgia, and bringing the city into the true wealth and wonder of the Renaissance.

Revelations continues the story of Desmond Miles, who has fallen into a coma due to the events of the previous game. In order for him to awaken again, Desmond must relive the last significant memories of his ancestor, the Assassin Mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who sought out the secret library of the Mentor of the Levantine AssassinsAltaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, in 1511.

This game changed the way we saw Assassins creed and introduced so many things we take for granted nowadays in the newer games, like the economy system and the twin blades, which i think are amazingly brilliant, argue as you will but thats probably one of the best games in the series....i don't know about you guys but i kind of count Brotherhood and Revelations as add on's to number Two so we will count them under this... paving the way for: Conner Kenway!

"On this land, I am torn. Part of me wants to fight and repel all outsiders. The other part of me is the outsider. In the name of liberty, I will fight the enemy regardless of their allegiance. While men of courage write history of this day, the future of our land depends on those who are truly free."
―Ratonhnhaké:ton, Assassin's Creed III Gameplay Trailer.

Assassin's Creed III is a 2012 sandbox style action-adventure video game that is developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the fifth main title in the Assassin's Creed series, and is a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The game tells the stories of Haytham Kenway and Ratonhnhaké:ton, ranging from the years 1754 to 1783, and concludes the story of their descendant Desmond Miles.

This game introduced the ways of naval combat and missions, aswel as ending the story of Desmond, this game had a rather annoying main character but did serve as a springboard for the sailing of a new character... and a new world of plunder....

"I once sailed for a king. I obeyed men of privilege and wealth. Now, I bend my knee to no man. My only oath is to my crew and together we will take back what is rightfully ours. With blood and steel, we shall stand up to the powerful. Captains will curse our flag, and kings will fear it. As long as empires generate wealth and riches, we will be there to bleed them dry."
―Edward Kenway, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's "Under The Black Flag" Trailer.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 action-adventure game, and the sixth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. A sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III, the game has the player take on the role of an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst as they explore the story of Edward Kenway – father to Haytham Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is set primarily on and around the islands in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, with the three major cities consisting of Havana, Nassau and Kingston.
Taking the naval specifics of the game to a new level by putting you in control of the Jackdaw, the fourth most awesome pirate ship to sail the seven seas (after the Queen Anns Revenge, the Flying Dutchman and the Black Pearl of course.) i fell in love with this game purely because the Pirate Assassin angle was too overpowering, and to be honest what person dosen't secretly want to be A PIRATE ASSASSIN?!?!?! i'm looking forward to the release of Assassins Creed Unity....

3.) Minecraft. (Mojang.)

Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by MojangThe creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, gathering resources, crafting, and combat. Gameplay in its commercial release has four principal modes:
  • Survival mode, which requires players to acquire resources and maintain their health and hunger.
  • Creative mode, where players have an unlimited supply of resources and experience, the ability to fly, and no health or hunger.
  • Hardcore mode is a version of survival mode, differing only in difficulty; it is set to the most difficult setting and respawning is disabled, forcing players to delete their worlds upon death.
  • Spectator mode, where the player does not collide with blocks, and is able to view, but not interact with, almost everything.

Basically you are playing a virtual version of Lego, except you don't have to worry about your kid leaving Lego bricks on the floor for you to step on at 2.00AM, causing THE MOST EXCRUCIATING PAIN KNOWN TO MAN! so there's a perk right away, plus you get to build some amazing stuff! give it a try guys!

2.) Halo Reach. (Bungie.)

Halo: Reach is a 2010 first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios, The game takes place in the year 2552, where humanity is locked in a war with the alien Covenant. Players control Noble Six, a member of an elite supersoldier squad, when the human world known as Reach falls under Covenant attack.

Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter in which players predominantly experience gameplay from a first-person perspective; the game perspective switches to third-person when using certain weapons and vehicles. Game play is more similar to Halo: Combat Evolved than later games in the series.

Halo Reach became one of my favorite games because you build feelings for every member of your squad, you eventually forget you are playing a game and begin to feel they are really a part of your life, from the epic beginning to the ending firefight, you are Noble six, a super soldier, and it's up to you to save the universe.....

And here we are..... at number one! DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!!!

1.) Gears of War 1, 2 & 3. (EPIC.)

It had to take my number one spot because... well.... it's Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago who keep the show on the road, their bromance is on a legendary scale, aswel as other characters to back them up, the unfortunate Antony and Benjamin Carmine brothers, The Epic Clayton Carmine, Augustus "Cole Train" Cole, Damon Baird, Anya Stroud, and the rest of the gang all come together to create a powerhouse of Manliness and awesomeness... There's also the tear jerking moments, there's not much else i can say about this really, seriously go and check it out! it's the only way it's going to convey the awesomeness.......

I'm sorry for rambling on for so long, but i feel this needed to be done, if there are any games you guys think should be on the list then let me know, if i have given you any good ideas on what to play i hope you enjoy! so anyway, that's enough from me, i'm off to go kill some Grubs, so until next time ladies and Gents.... Happy Hunting :D Remember to share your lists so i can see them! later people!!
