Hello old friends.

It's been a while, I do apologise for not keeping up with this but as with all things in life, it seems to slip through your fingers when you least expect it, I could sit here and spew on about how hard life can be and how unfair it is but you don't want to read that, and I don't particularly want to write about it.

I'm sat here at half past midnight of a Friday evening during a world wide pandemic munching on a chicken and mushroom slice and contemplating what to say to you all now I'm finally typing away, Honestly it makes me remember back to a year ago when I was working for a retail company, gearing up for Christmas in the hustle and bustle of people, No social distancing then!

I remember days and evenings spent being pushed back and forth by customers, over crowded trains and buses, the world we used to know, a world I feel we took for granted, and like many recent events, it has changed our world forever, so many of my friends I haven't seen in months, family that are further than ever, while I write this, I think of my great-aunt Riek, Who lived over in the Netherlands, with a fair amount of my family, Home, On my Oma's side (Grandmother).

A few weeks ago I received a call from my mother, explaining that she had contracted the virus that has so easily slowed our world to a halt, and that she had succumbed to it, she wasn't a young woman, but I had hoped to travel over to see her at least one last time before she passed, to say goodbye at least, I didn't get the chance with my Great-Uncle Wim at the end of last year, and it will be a pain in my heart that I was unable to travel.

It all brought back a flood of memories, My Great-Uncle Tiny(pronounced Teeny) visiting for my fathers funeral, my Second cousin coming to see us various times and always smiling, visiting the Dutch family in Eindhoven with My Uncle and my Grandmother, not understanding a word they said to me and yet knowing full well I was still being included and that they cared.

I think what I'm trying to say is, no matter who someone is in your life, if you are close to them or not, make the effort, even if it's a quick "Hi" or a check up to make sure someone is looking after themselves, Do it, because you never know what tomorrow will bring, Especially with the world how it is now, everyone feels isolated and some days are harder than ever for people suffering from hidden illnesses.

We all know someone who is distant, quiet and alone, please check on them, let them know they are loved, and that they count.

Sorry for the heavy post guys, but we need to be united now more than ever, We can all be Light in the darkness.

also.... Wear a mask!

Yours as always.

Life tips: Planning for trips

Hey Ale-gators!

First up, I'm sorry I haven't been writing anything lately but I've been working hard on radio shows, book writing and planning a visit to the amazing place that is Nottingham! Hence why I thought I'd write this little Life Tips post for you to enjoy and plan with!

THE LIST:

1: Plan out your trip as best as you can.

learn the local area and find attractions that take your fancy before you go, I know we all love that little bit of randomness but if you really want to enjoy yourself have a look online at some of the things you can do! If you look in the right places you can find some really awesome things to do in the local community!

2: look at the best travel prices and decide what is best for you.

It's all well and good going by the train but if like myself money is something you don't have a huge abundance of then sometimes it's just not logical to go that way, so it's always good to look at various means of travel, For me to get to Nottingham for my trip it would cost me roughly £250 on the train (for a return) which is hugely expensive! With a little hunting around I found out I could get there for about £45 pound (return) via National Express coaches, while this means it's a 6 hour 15 mins trip it also means I get some time to see London and also saves me £205 pounds! Which I think we can all agree is quite a saving (til we find a pub that is) and although it takes a while to get there it'll be a fun trip if you have the right travelling buddy! which brings me to my next point!

3: go with people who make you happy to be around.

Now this one is one of the most important! when hitting the road for a long period of time it's good to have yourself at least one amazing buddy along for the ride... For me that person is my Best buddy Robin:

Now this guy is what the word Legend was created for, He's my best friend, He's also like my brother, I've known him about Ten years now and every day is a new adventure when you hang out with Robin, you can pretty much guarantee that you are going to have a hilarious time when you see him, We went to college together which is where we really got into trouble for some of the random things we did, So it's great to be having him along for the ride to Nottingham!

4: pack accordingly to the place you are going.

This one is just common sense, you wouldn't take sandals to the northpole and you wouldn't take a ski suit to the sahara desert!
This is where Step 1 and Step 4 kind of intertwine because if you know something about what you plan to do you'll know exactly what to pack for the trip, now do you plan on going clubbing in the evening? or going out to a nice dinner? chilling by the pool or going for a hike? these are all thing's you need to think about when packing, how many pairs of shoes will you need to take? I am personally taking three pairs, trainers for comfort, my sneakers for when I wanna look fashionable, and my formal shoes for going out in the evening, as you can see I like to cover all bases!

5: know all the numbers you might require in an emergency.

This one is important if you are going to another country, you never know when you might need the emergency services!

6: make sure you have adequate money for the trip.

Do I really need to go in-depth on this one? everyone knows that you should always make sure that you have enough for a holiday so you can get home if your plans fall through! also the pub is rather expensive so spend carefully!

7: Have fun.

now comes the best part, go forth and frolic! you'll have a lot more fun if you look for it by exploring! that's the biggest piece of advice i can give you, just look around, be a tourist, and have a fantastic time!

Right, now I've done my part I'm off to go finish packing for Nottingham! I'll be Vlogging on the way there and when I get there, so keep an eye over on the twitter and Youtube so you'll see it, looks to be a fun time!

Catch you later Ale-Gators xx

Chasing Ink part 2: In the Chair.

Well Hello there Ale-Gators.

It seems a long time ago now that i sat down to write Chasing Ink, A post focused around the history of Tattooing and a Tattoo artist Shazza Bean, A superbly brilliant artist from Kent who has done some of the greatest work i have ever seen on peoples skin!

Well i finally took my place in the Tattoo Chair! after much hard thought and time i decided on a design of my own creation, a design that incorporates my love of Gaming and my love of flourish!

Now seeing as i am a HUGE Assassins Creed fan it's kind of obvious i would go for something like this, slightly geeky but looks awesome!

So i went along to the studio and after a nice catch up with Shazza i was in the chair, now I've heard alot about how much the first one hurts and that i probably wouldn't enjoy it too much, Well i absolutely loved it! i found it comfortable rather then painful, it was kind of like the beginning of pins and needles, so with that and the awesome conversation i was really comfortable and happy!

the whole thing took about two and a half hours (including two ten minute breaks) which amazingly flew by! it felt more like twenty minutes then two and a half hours, Shazza made the experience enjoyable as she kept me talking and laughing, Dan (who also works at the Studio) was talking to me about warhammer for quite a while also, the whole studio was welcoming and it was a lovely atmosphere which was great for my first Tattoo!!

Well for those of you who want to see the finished product here it is:

Thanks go out to the Amazingly talented Shazza Bean! who helped me feel at ease and happy with the whole thing!

I hope you have enjoyed this post as it's my first one since coming back from the south! here's a special pic for you all!

Thanks for reading Guys! catch you later!!

Review: Assassins Creed: Rogue

Hey there Ale-Gators!

So I've been in talks with some people over at Ubisoft about My blog and what They think of it and I was then told that I was being sent a special package from the team, now They didn't tell me what it was and I've been waiting with bated breath for a week now and Yesterday it turned up, And let me tell you! I am one happy man!

So the Lovely People at Ubisoft sent Me a copy of Rogue and told Me they look forward to seeing a review! so here it is!!

The main character of the game is Shay Patrick Cormac, a twenty-one year-old recruit to the Assassins who grows disillusioned with their methods and their cause just as his career as an Assassin begins. He eventually betrays and abandons the Assassins after an assignment ends in disaster, and is later accepted into the Templar Order, offering his services as an Assassin Hunter after seeing some of the Assassins groups used as allies have taken to terrorizing New York. Given access to near-limitless resources, Cormac sets out against his former companions, with his actions having dire consequences for the future of the Brotherhood. Cormac has ties to the events that occur in Assassin's Creed Unity. Appearances from previous Assassin's Creed characters include: Haytham Kenway, Achilles Davenport (Conner Kenways mentor), and Adewale, (Edward Kenway's quartermaster in Black Flag).

So I've been playing the game for about ten hours now and I've finally completed the story, some of you may say that "it's too short and easy" I will point out now that i just did the story, nothing else outside of that, looking at the percentage chart for the game I am about %30 done..... yeah... %30... Hopefully I'll have it %100 by the time I post this Review!

Now this game plays alot like AC3 and Black Flag, but instead of feeling samey it feels pretty good! they've finally gotten rid of a lot of the bugs that have plagued the game since they introduced the sea fairing part of the game, it's now rather smooth and after a while you'll want to be a captain forever, I've been searching for all the unlockable armors and such... my hint to you is to play the campaign till the end and then do the unlockables as it's a lot more time consuming and actually gives you a reason to play after the credits have rolled!!

Right then, there are ofcourse some drawbacks to the game... namely Shay's voice actor, he's fantastic during the cutscenes and such... when you are collecting stuff? not so much, he has a tendency to sound like a stereotypical leprechaun. otherwise I love all of the voice acting in this! it feels real and lively, not scripted, it sounds like a game should!

The graphics have been overhauled from Black flag, I'm still trying to work out why as it's the same anvilnext engine from AC3 (which only came out in 2012...) but they've done a good job with it, the sea feels like it could rip your ship apart in storms and the jungles feel alive, teeming with creatures (and Assassins), who really want to kill you!

The naval battles have been completely overhauled with the Morrigan, she's faster, sleeker and deadlier then either the Aquila or the Jackdaw, and carries enough fire power to destroy them both easily, so much so that half way through the game I was taking on Man O' Wars and just about defeating them, once I'd unlocked more upgrades I was unstoppable, a pure Assassin killing machine, I'd happily spend hours sailing the seas taking on French ships!

The only real niggles i have with this game are small ones, like the inclusion of an Native American Assassins called Kesegowaase, which is all well and good but Conner Kenway was the first Native American to join the Assassins order according to Achilles and yet rogue (which is set before AC3) has a Native American Assassin, that's the only real oversight I have spotted in the game so far which can be forgiven seeing as they have got everything else just right!
I'm just going to leave the Trailer here for you all to watch!

Why was i ever an Assassin? being a Templar is the most Bad-Ass thing ever!

Now you can argue that this is a rehash of the last few Assassins Creed games and a lot of people would agree with you, I on the other hand don't, I feel that it's the pinnacle of the Games on the last generation of consoles (xbox360/ps3) and I think that this is the last hurrah of the Assassins creed games on these consoles, the culmination of all those years of planning, from the release of the first to now, these games are a defining series for these consoles, lets hope that the series continues to grow now that the new Gen of consoles are here, if Rogue is the best of this Gen, then Unity will be the tester for the future, a future of Assassins and Templar's, a world of hidden items and journeys to far off lands...  A war and a revolution have ended, and another is about to begin. May the Father of Understanding guide us all, And remember, Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted...

Top Five things to have with You in a Zombie apocalypse....

Well hello there Ale-Gators!

For the first major Blog post since I'm feeling well again (for details see My last Update: Here), I have decided to go back to My Geekier beginnings! So for this Edition I have decided to create a Top Five, It's been a while since we've had on of these (the last one being Gadgets I need in My life: Here), Which was quite a long read but You guys seemed to love it, So shall we get down to it?.... Lovely!

Now then... Cast Your mind into Your darkest nightmares... Imagine this: a world dead, empty but for the moaning of the Undead, All that is left of the Human race, Except for You and Your small group of survivors, what would You do? would You hole Your team up? Travel around looking for supplies? or cry in the corner?..... Well no matter what Your choice, I'm here to give You the Five best things to take with You! (if You want to read My take on a Zombie apocalypse then click Here).

5). Food and Water.

Now this is super important! always, always, ALWAYS, Carry Food and water with You, The last thing You need is to find an awesome place to wait out the aforementioned apocalypse and then realise... You don't have access to Food or a Water source! You may say "Oh, Well We can go and find more" but remember this, every time You leave Your hiding place You risk bringing back the Undead... Which as You know isn't a good thing! I suggest finding somewhere remote that You can fortify, Say a well fenced farm or maybe a water treatment plant.... Easy to defend and You'll have plenty of space to grow food!

4). Adequate Clothing.

Picture this: You're running away from the Undead... You are tired, finding it hard to stand... Then the heel snaps on Your brand new Prada shoes! Your ankle snaps sideways, You tumble and the next thing You know You're a Human Happy Meal... Ok! so You died looking fashionable but was it really worth it? Really? well then that's Your choice, I'll enjoy survival with My combat boots! good for both running and for kicking in Zombie heads! and with the weight of Them I'm getting a free leg work out... Every day is Leg Day!

3). Weapons (and Training!).

So You found a gun, Wow! Now You will become a Zombie killing Bad-ass! so You get one in Your sights, taking careful aim... You squeeze the trigger... BANG!! The kick back of the gun smashes into Your nose, Breaking it, causing You searing pain and blindness.... Meanwhile the bullet has missed the Zombie.. Which is now about an inch from You, and oh look.... You now have no throat! You died all because You decided to hold the gun "gangsta" in one hand at a stupid angle!
Play it smart Guys! if You don't know how to use it then don't bother, if You find a rifle use it as a club! also the sound of the gunshot would only serve to bring more Undead to Your position! how many bullets You got punk?... Take a bat instead, or maybe a sword... If You find one... Be careful if You do because You'll be as much a danger to Yourself and Your team as You are to the Undead!

2). Mobility.

This one is really dependent on Your survival plan.... if You plan on staying where You know then by all means ignore this one, if You plan on keeping on the move then pay attention.... Don't go for a fast car! go for something built to last, like a Lorry or a Bus, something You can carry plenty of supplies on aswel as other People, and if you have someone with the know how, have Them create a ram on the front to clear the roads ahead of You, fortify the windows with metal and You have a Undead killing machine!

1). Team Work.

If You thought You could do this all alone then You were wrong! Whose gonna have Your back in the thickest of problems, Whose going to help You plan scouting missions? Going it alone might be Cool and Mysterious but it's also the quickest way of getting Yourself killed unless You have army training!

I hope You guys have enjoyed this Top Five of the Zombie Apocalypse, I shall be posting more now I am back on My feet! Hopefully I will have some awesome things for You as of next week as Ubisoft Montreal have decided to send Me a mystery package! Remember to follow the links below to see all things I'm up to and to follow the Blog! I shall tell You what the package is as soon as I know!

Aftermath: The beginning.

It wasn't always death and destruction... that came after.

Cities used to be full of people, rivers were full of pollutants and nature was kept at bay by humanity... but what happens when humanity has fallen?

Nature takes back what was once part of it's ecosystem. This has been shown many times, in places like Chernobyl and surrounding area of Pripyat, places where people do not inhabit in large numbers, Nature will always be dominant, no matter how hard we try to fight it back, it will always win.

Speaking about Chernobyl, it was the disaster there 1:27AM on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine that began it all, There was a sudden and unexpected power surge, and when an emergency shutdown was attempted, a cataclysmic larger spike in power output occurred, which led to a reactor rupture and a series of explosions.

These events exposed the graphite moderator of the reactor to air, causing it to ignite. The resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere, That is what we were told, that is what we believed, until the truth came out, but that was only after the first deaths brought it to the foreground, when the dead began to come back to life, monsters from our darkest nightmares. it took Twenty-Eight years for it to happen, making Chernobyl a time bomb.

But i don't want to get ahead of myself, i'll start from the beginning, well at least where i come in, which as you may have already worked out is as the writer of this particular account, See, back then i was a small time writer at the start of the events that unfurled.

now, i could make myself more important then i was but that would just not be conducive to what i am telling you now, let's put it this way, My name is Denan Smith and i was Twenty-One at the time, i had just moved from my old home town in Kent to Leicestershire, i moved north while looking for work with my oldest friend Skyler Rose, who like I, Was looking for a job Writing.

what We found was so much more, We were present at the initial panic and the overall fall of humanity, I'll give you a rundown of the last few days before things went to hell. this'll mainly be parts of my diary from the time, i was always taught to keep notes of everything i see and hear, good thing i did, luckily others had the same idea so it's easy to find videos, diaries and audio recordings of the Plague.

November 23rd 2014:

So today is officially my third week here, Skyler keeps saying "we're bound to get work soon" which i'm now thinking she says more out of hope then actual facts, i've always been one for the facts, like the fact no one seems to know what to do about this Ebola epidemic, it's been sweeping the world, so far England has managed to avoid it.

Amazingly we've actually done well for ourselves on something, on the plus side our new house is pretty large, It's a five bedroom detached house, Skyler and I fought over the biggest room but in the end i let her win, so i took a smaller room to sleep in and a room as my study, we also turned the fourth room into a library, we seem to send a lot of time in there now, noses in books, i swear we aren't like regular twenty-one year olds, that and the ability to cook, clean and live as fully functional members of society, anyway, i had better get back to finding work, i'll write some more ASAP i suppose, not that anyone is interested in my writing.

November 27th 2014:

well that was weird, we were watching Tv and suddenly everything went blank, no TV, no Internet, no Phone signal, just gone, like it was never there, there's been nothing to explain it but looking out the upstairs windows we can see fire far away, more then one, we're completely at a loss, we'll have to keep an eye and ear out to see what is going to happen, i have an interview tomorrow so i'll see what i can garner from the other candidates, i've been asked to head along to the Leicester tribune, hopefully this'll work out, Skyler has an interview there aswel, we'll see whats happening tomorrow, until then i'm off to see what i can find out.

December 1st 2014:

So, After all that all we hear are rumours and speculation, something about Ebola causing people who were supposedly dead to rise, i think that's a load of rubbish, things like that don't happen, it's more likely that untrained people have been doing the checks, these people who have "died" are probably in a deep sense of unconsciousness, waking up in piles of bodies and wandering off to find help, Skyler seems to agree with me so we are taking this with a pinch of salt, now we are both working at the Tribune we are hearing a lot about whats happening, Tv and everything came back the next day, part of a countrywide Blackout, nothing to be alarmed about, it's still quite temperamental so it happens alot, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

December 4th 2014:

Something bad has happened, it's like a plague has swept across African and Europe, people are dying in their thousands, it's like someone made this thing kick off, what we first thought was Ebola is something else entirely, this thing seems to go to an area and wipe it out completely, then moves on, like some Locust horde, the news said that reports show this will wipe out three quarters of the population outright, What is this? they say they've never seen anything like this before, Russia and the surrounding countries went dark yesterday, no sign of anything that'll stop this.

all the government is saying is that people should stay in their homes and not approach others, we had a party on monday night and still have Tara, Crystal, Lilla and Matt here, they can't get back down to Kent becasue all public transport has been cancelled, Matt and i are having to bunk, As are Skyler and Lilla and Tara and Crystal, it's been crazy, people have been rushing through the streets gathering supplies, it's mental to see, Yesterday Myself, Matt and Crystal went to get supplies for the coming weeks and managed to end up in a part of town that amazingly still had some stuff left, though at stupidly high prices.

By the time we got back it was five hours later and we'd seen a large fight break out in the high street, rushing home to avoid more of a scene like that we found the others waiting and looking concerned "what took you so long?" Tara asked as we piled through the door with bags and bags of food and other stuff needed, "we had to slog across town thank you very much" matt decided to snap at her, those two are always at each others throats.

"there was a riot in the highstreet that started about an hour ago, we thought you might have been caught up in it, the military was rolled out to deal with it!" Lilla said, looking through what we had, Crystal nodded "we caught the edge of it as we were heading home, we were lucky" the rest of this evening has been spent with us sat in silence listening to the sirens, the Power went out about half an hour ago and i had to use a lamp we got today to write under.

Crystal is making dinner as we speak, Matt is playing on his phone and the others are reading in the library with the bigger lamp, anyway, Crystal is calling us now, i'll update when i can.

December 10th 2014:

It's been almost a week since my last post now and all hell has broken loose, two days after i last wrote the riots really began, all up and down the country, people just snapped, took what they wanted and didn't care about others, then the military got involved and the shooting started.

at first they tried to maintain a heavy presence and put on a curfew but people haven't listened, it's anarchy because of this virus, France went dark three days ago, people know it's only  just beginning for us, the police, paramedics and fire services have all been engaged for the last twenty four hours and fires burn through the night, you'd think that we were in the dark ages.

it's getting a lot colder now and there's only so much we can do, we are all sleeping the same room now to conserve heat, tomorrow myself and Matt are going to look for more supplies, looks like we are going to have to go through the winter like this, i never thought this would happen, spirits are low, and we spend hours in silence, trying to get any information we can in the hour or so that anything works, it's insane it can be like this in the twenty-first century!

looks like we need to get some sleep soon, the sirens are closer then ever tonight, i might suggest to the others that we pack some stuff and leave, might be a good idea.

December 18th 2014:

I have no clue what to say right now, it's all kicked off, we heard shots about six days ago, we've spent the last week fortifying the house, boarding the windows and making the doors stronger, just in case, Well we were fine until that last time to go out for supplies.

Matt and Lilla came with me, we decided to go at night so we would be harder to spot, we headed towards where the shots came from so we could see how in danger we were staying in the house, Well... what we found... was horrific, we had walked to the town center, and it was like a scene from a horror film, blood and bodies littered the floor, the stink of death was strong and soon we were being sick and crying from the stench.

none of us had seen anything like this before, after some time we all managed to pull ourselves together and slowly made our way towards the bloodbath, Matt suggested it would be good to see if there were any supplies nearby, so we skirted the edge and pushed on, after a while Lilla slowed down and looked around and spotting something jogged off after it.

Myself and Matt followed along at a fast pace, and there, almost hidden down a backstreet was a small convenience store, shutters still safely closed, we all looked at each other and then moved towards it, after about ten minutes we managed to gain entry by climbing onto the roof and dropping down into a small area out back.

after we had filled our bags we made our way back out, going the same way so that we could use this place again, as we were leaving Matt nodded down a side road, then explaining to us how there was an army surplus shop down there, and that it might be useful for gas masks so we don't have to put up with the stench again, we agreed and headed that way, after ten minutes we were stood inside the place.

we had to smash a window to get in which caused a fair bit of noise, after grabbing some gas masks, thick clothes and a few other supplies we found Lila looking at a load of knives "we should take them, who knows what people are doing to each other, we need to be able to defend ourselves" after a few seconds Matt and I agreed and grabbed as many as we could, before long we were heading towards the center of town again.

the smell catching on our noses, we put on the masks and proceeded cautiously, Matt leading us, Lilla in the middle and Myself bringing up the rear, as we neared the bodies we noticed something weird, they seemed to have stayed very well preserved, Matt commented on this as I was looking at a body of an old man, who could have been asleep, except for the five holes ripped threw his chest.

Lilla then pointed out nothing had started eating the dead yet, no foxes, birds or even dogs running loose had been near, that should have been our first sign that something about the whole scene was askew, after some minutes of silence we decided to head home, the streets are always so quiet now, it's almost like we are the only people left, it's freaky.

Luckily we got home just before night fall, Lilla said she thought someone was following us back, but we doubted it, i mean, why would someone follow us? they would be in the exact same condition as we are, though now it sounds like there is something moving in the darkness outside, it's kind of a shuffling sound, and i swear i keep hearing moans, i see the others looking too but i'm sure it's just our imagination, surely no one can be out there can they? who know's maybe there is more then just us left.

Anyway it appears Matt's decided to check out the noise, he's heading to the door, i suppose i'd better see whats occuring, there now seems to be a banging noise against the front door, and the moaning noise is louder... i wonder what it is?

END OF PART 1.......

Review: Resident Evil: Directors Cut.....

OK so we are stating from the Beginning... of course, with one of the greatest games ever!...Apperently....

I came in late to the whole Resident Evil series, due to a phobia of the dead and thus the undead i was to afraid..... UNTIL NOW!!!

I will be reviewing every game in the series, going through the main series (1-6) and then the spin offs after, just to save me from hopping around too much and also making it easier for you guys! i try to keep the reviews as professional as possible so that it's clearly an unbiased view, so on to the first game!

INFO:

Resident Evil is a survival horror game by Capcom and is the first game in the Resident Evil series. It was originally released in 1996 for the PlayStation and has been subsequently ported to the Sega Saturn and PC, then re-released twice on the PlayStation in the form of a Director's Cut. Which i will be Reviewing today! While not the first survival horror game, its success propelled the genre to new heights of popularity and was the first game to coin the term.

Cast:

Resident Evil gives players a choice between two playable characters, S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team members Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. The differences between both characters are more than superficial, with differences in abilities, items and even supporting characters, resulting in a slightly different scenario for both protagonists. Later Resident Evil titles would often follow this tradition of including a male and female lead, although in some, they aren't both available at the start of the game (i.e. Code: Veronica). Notably, Resident Evil Zero has players control both protagonists simultaneously.

Playable characters:

Chris Redfield - One of the protagonists of the game. Chris is much stronger and faster than Jill, making him more resistant to enemy attacks and have more possibilities to avoid them. Also having greater accuracy it is easier to aim in the right places with him (even for new players), using less rounds. But to compensate for this strength, his scenario is made more problematic, especially for the inexperienced. He can only carry six items and starts with only a knife. To make things worse he needs small keys to unlock places where Jill can simply use her lockpick. This drawback is slightly compensated by the fact that Chris starts his quest with a lighter, which however is not very useful compared with Jill's lockpick. Chris' supporting character is Rebecca. She will not rescue him as much as Barry would for Jill, but she is useful and can heal all Chris' wounds at certain stages of the game. Chris also finds the flamethrower, a weapon exclusive to his scenario.
Jill Valentine - One of the protagonists of the game. Jill's scenario is the simpler of the two, as she has a higher carrying capacity (eight items simultaneously, as opposed to Chris' six) and has a lockpick that serves as a substitute for the small keys in Chris' scenario. Jill's supporting character is Barry. He wields a powerful .357 Magnum Colt Python and is more helpful than Chris' Rebecca, as he eliminates the need for the broken shotgun, and assists in fighting several of the bosses. Jill also gets to use a grenade launcher, a weapon exclusive to her scenario and capable of firing several types of rounds. However, these advantages are offset by the fact that she is more vulnerable to enemy attacks than Chris, is less likely to escape from them, and will be "harder" to shoot the zombies in the right spots. The character who is not chosen becomes a prisoner of Wesker until the end of the game. In order to unlock the passage leading to the cell, three MO disks must be collected by the player and then inserted into terminals located throughout the lab. The cell's door can only be unlocked by activating the self-destruct mechanism or by using Wesker's Master Key. Deciding whether to free them or not affects several of the ending cut-scenes.

Supporting characters:

Albert Wesker - Leader of Alpha team and S.T.A.R.S., Wesker was also an undercover spy of Umbrella and plans to dispose of his former team-mates and gather data on the Bio Organic Weapons.
Barry Burton - A S.T.A.R.S. member who assists Jill in her search. Barry is blackmailed into murder and the destruction of evidence by the traitorous S.T.A.R.S. leader, Albert Wesker. During Chris' storyline, Barry goes missing after the opening cutscene, with Wesker presuming him to be dead, but it's never proven. Barry is not seen or mentioned again after that.
Brad Vickers - Alpha team's Pilot. Brad was a coward who left his team-mates behind after Frost's death. He then later assists the player by giving them a Rocket Launcher to kill the Tyrant. Joseph Frost - Another member of Alpha team. Joseph was attacked and eaten alive by a pack of Cerberus just outside the mansion.
Rebecca Chambers - A S.T.A.R.S. member who assists Chris in his search. Rebecca is one of the survivors of the incident, whose disappearance prompted Alpha team's investigation, and is currently the only one alive from the Bravo team. She is playable in Chris' scenario twice at the most. Rebecca is not seen or mentioned in Jill's storyline.
Richard Aiken - A Bravo team member who was bitten and injected with venom by the Yawn. Aiken dies before the serum has a chance to save him.
Forest Speyer - Another member of Bravo team. Forest was killed by a flock of crows on the balcony of the mansion. He later returns as a Zombie
Kenneth J. Sullivan - Another Bravo team member. Kenneth was eaten and decapitated by a Zombie in a hallway after straying off from the dining room moments before Alpha team found him. Enrico Marini - Captain of the Bravo team. Enrico discovers that a member of Alpha team is a traitor, but is assassinated before confirming it to the player.
Most of the other members of S.T.A.R.S. make minor appearances throughout the games, usually as victims of the monsters.

GAMEPLAY:

The player's character is a member of the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) Alpha Team law enforcement task force, who is trapped in a mansion populated by dangerous mutated creatures. The objective of the game is to uncover the mystery of the mansion and ultimately escape alive. The game's graphics consist of real-time 3D polygonal characters and objects, superimposed over pre-rendered backdrops with pre-determined camera angles. The player controls the character by pushing the d-pad or analog stick left or right to rotate the character and then move the character forward or backwards by pushing the d-pad up or down.
To fulfill the game's objective, the player uncovers various documents that provide exposition about the game's narrative, as well as clues that help them solve various puzzles within the mansion. Key items are also available that give the player access to other items or new areas. The player can arm their character with weapons to defend themselves from enemies, although the ammunition available for each firearm is limited and the player must learn to conserve the ammunition they have for situations where they will really need it. To restore the character's health, the player uses first-aid sprays or three types of healing herbs that can be mixed together in different combinations for different healing effects. The carrying capacity of the player is limited depending on the character and items that the player does not wish to carry at the moment can be stored into an item box to be retrieved for later use. To save their progress, the player must pick up an ink ribbon and use it on any of the typewriters scattered through key locations in the game. However, the supply of ink ribbons the player can acquire is limited much like the player's ammo and healing supplies.
Players will encounter various infected creatures as flesh-eating zombies, zombie dogs, giant spiders, and a B.O.W. called "Hunter". The game's final boss is a new type of biological weapon, code-named "Tyrant".
Resident Evil and its remake are the only entries in the franchise to feature multiple endings, with the difference being how many people the player character saves. There is no possible way in either game to save all four characters, as Barry is presumed dead in Chris' scenario and Rebecca never meets Jill in hers; however, it is confirmed that both of them survived, as Barry is shown in the epilogue of Resident Evil 3, while in the Nintendo 64 version of Resident Evil 2 the player may come find a report about Billy Coen's supposed death that Rebecca filed upon returning to Raccoon City.
  • The best endings have the chosen player character, Chris or Jill, save both their partner (Barry if played with Jill, Rebecca if played with Chris) and the other player character, who is imprisoned in a basement cell for most of the game, and destroy the mansion.
  • The second endings have the chosen player only save their partner and destroy the mansion.
  • The third ending has the chosen player only save the other player character, and the mansion remains intact.
  • The worst endings have only the chosen player survive, and the mansion remains intact.

I hope you find this review helpful for your choice of Playing Resident evil, now i played the Directors Cut so there are quite a few differences between this game and the original, but the main points are the same, i have never played it all the way through before and now i'm glad i spent the time to play it wisely, NOW onto the second game!!!

Role Playing games and Such..........

Well Hello there internet people! I am back! in a new city half a country away from where i was, that's right i'm now calling Leicester my home! i aim to bring you some awesome reviews on games and other stuff once i have sorted everything out! now living with the Girlfriend so i now have a partner in crime on alot of my reviews and videos! anyways enough about that! on to the subject for today: ROLEPLAYING!

I am an avid roleplayer of the Live action, the Tabletop and the console roleplay genre aswel as roleplaying with my best friend Kitta... i'll start with my personal favorite:

The Table Top Roleplay:

there are several different type of tabletop role playing games out there, here are my top two!

in Second place..... Dungeons and Dragons:

Now, i know alot of you just decided i'm now a hugely nerdy bugger... well i am but bear with me!
A couple of years ago my mate Mike got me into D&D when he talked me into it.... took him three hours to convince me and i was soon addicted! I was Denan Eclipse, Dragon-born, King of the free-lands! last of his line and leader of an army of dragon-men! follower of the great dragon goddess Berfermet! needless to say i loved it! and we even created our own Bastardized version of it where our mate Russell would be our dungeon master, and then the fun times really began! from throwing bricks at barkeepers to kicking Mike out of a window as he jumps through it... to dwarven threesomes (long story).... the fun just kept going and going until we were playing for ten hours straight,

In First place.... WARHAMMER 40.000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW WE'RE TALKING!!!!!!!!!! i am a painter and collector of Warhammer models, i collect three armies.... all imperial! none of that heretical stuff anymore! used to be a follower of Chaos but i repented! nowadays i play Grey knights, Blood angels and Space wolves... the best of the best! you can have some real fun when painting them if you do it as a group and then you have the true satisfaction when you are done painting and you put your army on parade... not to mention the back story behind it all! it's so in depth that you can't help but love it!

If you are thinking of taking up Warhammer then i suggest you do some background research, visit your local Games Workshop and find out what army would be best for you, everyone is different... but most of all originality is key!

Console/PC Roleplay:

There are many games on the console systems (and PC) that are purely made for their role playing ability (world of Warcraft/Star trek online) but i won't focus on them as i have more pressing games... it's time for a top five!

5): Balder's Gate

ahhhh what a place to start! this is the series that began it all for me! the game play was fantastic, the graphics were sexy, the story line was beautifully written and dayum! a four disc install? that always got me excited with how big a game was! 1 disc? pft nah man it's two disc or more for me! i was especially excited when they decided to bring it to console with Dark Alliance!  released in 2001 on the Xbox, PlayStation and the console i got it on... the game cube! it was my favorite game all those years ago... seriously check it out! i'll include a link at the bottom if you want to purchase it to try!

4): Oblivion
now we knew at least one elder scrolls game would make it onto my list or in this case two! oblivion being the first! it was the first game i got on my Xbox when i got one so it holds a special place in my heart, i loved the story line and the way the game play felt, it was empowering to get into a game for the first time like this!

3): Skyrim
now... i love Skyrim... i mean i completed it in one sitting love it! it was like coming home after oblivion, and i don't know a single gamer that hasn't played Skyrim religiously in their lives, the graphics were super sexy, the missions were interesting and DAYUM!! being a dragon-born was freaking sweet! killing those dragons to gain the power to shout? perfect! and the arrow in the knee actually means getting married! The more you know! and avoid getting a companion..... just trust me.....

2): Dragon Age Games
you need to play these games to truly realise how great they are! one of biowares three greatest games series (the others being Balder's Gate and Mass Effect) it combines fast paced turned based combat and smart arse quips at each of your characters! there's not much i can say without giving the story away but you will love it! and when the second game comes around get Merrill!

1): Mass effect trilogy

now now now this had to be my first choice because who dosen't love being Commander Shepard fighting the reaper and collector forces (and cerberus) aboard the Normandy? i mean it's a beautifully sourced game that is put together so lovingly its a living, breathing universe!

live action role play: LARP...

seriously just go look it up and attend an event.... you will not regret it!!!

Written Role Playing/Fan Fiction..

now this is a huge part of my life and i have a very good Roleplay partner called Kitta, we work well together, i build the worlds and she details then, making the story more immersive so i can make huge twists whenever i feel its needed, we have rped many things from assassins creed to pirates, zombie apocalypse to Vampires, you name it you can make it, the sky is the limit!

I hope you have enjoyed my guide to roleplaying and my top five, i will catch you all soon but for the moment it's time to play some Last of Us! Bye!!!
