Here it is guys! it's been a long time in the making but i'm finally sitting down to write it out for you all! As you all know i am a huge fan of the Tabletop game Warhammer 40K (even going so far as to get my Girlfriend, Georgia into it),So of course a space marine game was bound to grab my attention, even if it is about the UltraSmurfs (Ultramarines)...... Anyway..... On with the Review!
Review:
The game's plot line involves the Forge World Graia (a planet devoted to military production) that has been invaded by alien Orks. The game follows a Command Squad of three of the Ultramarines, 2nd Company Commander and playable character Captain Titus, his immediate subordinate Veteran Sergeant Sidonus, and a relatively inexperienced and by-the-book Tactical Marine named Leandros. So far i have had some awesome hands on time with both the Single-Player and the Multi-Player, and i can honestly say that my interest is piqued by this game, i'm not as sold as i feel i should be, Single-Player wise after about five missions it starts to feel very copy and pasted level wise but the story-line keeps things working, the characters are well sourced and quite interesting, i wish i could say that the Single-Player aspect is fantastic but i really can't . Multi-Player Wise though i found it absolutely fantastic, The Exterminatus Game mode (Like Firefight in Halo and Zombies in Call of Duty) is quite exciting, beating the Heresy out of Orks and Chaos Forces over twenty levels of pure Dakka! Then you get to Dreadnought Assault...... YOU PLAY AS A FREAKING DREADNOUGHT!!!!!!! it is amazing! it is fantastic!.... oh and the standard team versus team is Space Marines VS Chaos Space Marines.... Blood for the Blood God!!!!!!!!!! I'm giving this game the benefit of the doubt, the game-play is fast paced and smart, the Story-line is amazingly intricate when you read into the plot, the graphics are smooth, The Single-Player is lacking in many things but the Multi-Player is unstoppable, so much so that i would happily just play the Multi-Player instead of the Campaign forever, i'm sorry this isn't a long review but there isn't much to say except that if THQ had put as much awesomeness into their Single-Player campaign in this game as they did into the Multi-Player then they wouldn't have gone bankrupt..... Tough Luck THQ..... Right guys, that's all for my space marine review, i hope i haven't annoyed you too much with my Review but it's just how i feel about this game..... I feel i should love this game but i just can't love it as it deserves....... I can't commit to saying this game is as great as it should be...... now..... i'm off to go purge more Heretics!! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!!
