Life tips: Planning for trips

Hey Ale-gators!

First up, I'm sorry I haven't been writing anything lately but I've been working hard on radio shows, book writing and planning a visit to the amazing place that is Nottingham! Hence why I thought I'd write this little Life Tips post for you to enjoy and plan with!

THE LIST:

1: Plan out your trip as best as you can.

learn the local area and find attractions that take your fancy before you go, I know we all love that little bit of randomness but if you really want to enjoy yourself have a look online at some of the things you can do! If you look in the right places you can find some really awesome things to do in the local community!

2: look at the best travel prices and decide what is best for you.

It's all well and good going by the train but if like myself money is something you don't have a huge abundance of then sometimes it's just not logical to go that way, so it's always good to look at various means of travel, For me to get to Nottingham for my trip it would cost me roughly £250 on the train (for a return) which is hugely expensive! With a little hunting around I found out I could get there for about £45 pound (return) via National Express coaches, while this means it's a 6 hour 15 mins trip it also means I get some time to see London and also saves me £205 pounds! Which I think we can all agree is quite a saving (til we find a pub that is) and although it takes a while to get there it'll be a fun trip if you have the right travelling buddy! which brings me to my next point!

3: go with people who make you happy to be around.

Now this one is one of the most important! when hitting the road for a long period of time it's good to have yourself at least one amazing buddy along for the ride... For me that person is my Best buddy Robin:

Now this guy is what the word Legend was created for, He's my best friend, He's also like my brother, I've known him about Ten years now and every day is a new adventure when you hang out with Robin, you can pretty much guarantee that you are going to have a hilarious time when you see him, We went to college together which is where we really got into trouble for some of the random things we did, So it's great to be having him along for the ride to Nottingham!

4: pack accordingly to the place you are going.

This one is just common sense, you wouldn't take sandals to the northpole and you wouldn't take a ski suit to the sahara desert!
This is where Step 1 and Step 4 kind of intertwine because if you know something about what you plan to do you'll know exactly what to pack for the trip, now do you plan on going clubbing in the evening? or going out to a nice dinner? chilling by the pool or going for a hike? these are all thing's you need to think about when packing, how many pairs of shoes will you need to take? I am personally taking three pairs, trainers for comfort, my sneakers for when I wanna look fashionable, and my formal shoes for going out in the evening, as you can see I like to cover all bases!

5: know all the numbers you might require in an emergency.

This one is important if you are going to another country, you never know when you might need the emergency services!

6: make sure you have adequate money for the trip.

Do I really need to go in-depth on this one? everyone knows that you should always make sure that you have enough for a holiday so you can get home if your plans fall through! also the pub is rather expensive so spend carefully!

7: Have fun.

now comes the best part, go forth and frolic! you'll have a lot more fun if you look for it by exploring! that's the biggest piece of advice i can give you, just look around, be a tourist, and have a fantastic time!

Right, now I've done my part I'm off to go finish packing for Nottingham! I'll be Vlogging on the way there and when I get there, so keep an eye over on the twitter and Youtube so you'll see it, looks to be a fun time!

Catch you later Ale-Gators xx

Projects!

The Rise:

Well well well..... What do we have here? is it a band? or is it a way of life? well for me it is both....

The Rise is Ashford's newest Band... mainly working on covers at the moment aswel as writing our own material, the band comprises of the following:
Alex: Bass, Lead Vocal and Rapper.

Mike: Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals and Rapper.
Danny: Rapper.
Wesley: Backing Vocals and Guitar.
Jase: Backing Vocals and Violin.

we are hoping to begin studio work soon on our first album aswel as start Gigging again! this is the second band Myself, Mike and Danny have been in together, our first being Dark Sanity, a rap rock band that ran a rather quick course with the introduction of our female member, nowadays we are back together for the fun of it instead of it being totally serious, keep an eye out for our tracks to hit the web!

Dark Noble's Projects:

I know i talk about it alot but it is quite important and is now working on a new Project: Aurors!

Set fifteen years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the series follows a team of Aurors: Wizards who chase and catch dark magic users, more importantly follows a pair of Aurors, Denan Eclipse and Stelia Altman. Eclipse is an ex Auror who for unknown reasons has spent the last five years on the run until Altman finds him and convinces him to come back in exchange for his freedom, Altman is a young Auror, not long joined the Department, she begrudgingly respects Eclipse, seeing the Auror he once was rather then the convict he is has been tough for her, openly showing her contempt for having to work with him.

Keep an eye out for the Pilot of this series appearing this fall over on the Dark Noble Facebook Page!

I hope your appetites are moistened by the idea of these projects, i know all of us are looking forward to the start of filming!

anyways guys i'm off to play Mass Effect 1 - 3 so i can review the series! catch you on the flipside!

Say hello to Hello Studio/Studio hunting!

It's that time again!

Hey guys, as i haven't posted in a few days, i have decided to link two blogs into one....

HELLO Studio:

our newest endeavor between myself and Jase(yes he who is mentioned many a time.) is to create a mainly Ashford based studio, thus HELLO Studio was born.....

Running a Production company and helping with two recording studios can sometimes be an arduous task, Especially when you need to find a bigger space, I now know that as a given fact of running a company, Doesn't make it any easier when you are on the fourth bus while going to view them having traveled around the WHOLE FREAKING COUNTY!!!!! As much as i love traveling it does take its toll after awhile...

So for the last two weeks Myself and the Teams at Hello Studios, 666HaloJaseDrocker666 Studios and Dark Noble have been looking for a new studio to work out of, today we were viewing Studios all around Kent..... So far we haven't quite found the right one, but there are a few hopefuls and one i fell in love with because it's perfect in every way, situated on two floors with a wide area on the bottom and it has a ready built Radio Station room on the first floor that just needs the equipment put in place by yours truly (amazingly something i am quite skilled at doing!) and then that leaves us the entire lower area to use as a Music production area/offices, so perfect but probably very expensive!!

Today was a Viewing day for Myself and Jase, it was also an excuse for a day trip! for those who don't know me, i love going on day trips, i mean i love them like a dog loves them.... head out the window and everything, absolute child at heart! we had a great many laughs and met a few new faces as well as old ones, these kinds of adventures always make me feel so happy to be doing what i'm doing, it kind of makes it worth it!

Inspiration..... Or Lack Of...... Somedays

Where to begin? Hmmmm..... Almost got it...... Nope it's gone......

Ever have days like this? when you need to come up with an awesome idea but the juice just isn't flowing? This happens to Me alot, which is why i create twenty six episodes that air in a year, that leaves me with twenty six more weeks to write up any material i want to use in the series, smart you are thinking..... no it isn't, because on the weeks i'm filming i suddenly realise how Rubbish the material actually is..... With a capitol R!

So to help combat that i try out my material on a select audience... in other words i find somewhere they are having a comedy night..... and perform horribly.... ALOT! I mean i'm surprised i'm not banned from places like this.... here what i had to go through today to write this blog:

An excerpt

from my status on Facebook:

a laborious journey, involving many battles and skirmishes, through the darkest parts of the world, through valleys and chasms, rivers and deserts, with nothing but a Tesco meal deal to keep me company (BLT if you must know), i have finally arrived at my quest ending point, to be faced with my toughest challenge yet, a really tall gate...... how did i prevail??? i jumped with all my might (and a good run up) and managed to concur this last foe...... so now here i am sat in Jase Froggett's garden eating my meal deal and using his internet connection waiting for him to get back from herne bay...... i feel like a wi-fi thief >:) i think i should write this into an epic tale of friendship and destiny........ Denan eclipse and the search for the wireless internet connection!!!

I also test out the material on certain friends, the poor Buggers..... I've been away for a couple of weeks in what i call Writers-land..... in other words I've been watching Game of thrones and Supernatural and lamenting about how much better their material is then mine..... not a good idea, Especially seeing as they are the GODS of TV shows, Closely followed by the Walking Dead ("Its so c**ting good its the dogs f****n' b*****ks" - Jack Pitney.... Poet, Gentleman.... Scholar. "Filled with adrenaline and the most addictive show on television!" - Aimee Carney.... actual Scholar...) and Doctor Who....... Cue the Rotten Tomatoes.....

As you can guess i have a lack of inspiration today..... it's been a hectic week, been so rushed off of my feet i don't really know which way is up, been gigging with Soundproof almost constantly, as of next week it is over, we are all going our separate ways and i begin work on putting a new band together, i've been musing on my song writing for the last few days and i think i am finally getting somewhere...... Maybe....

Anyway guys myself and Jase are enjoying a nice beer in the sun with our awesome speaker set up, it's looking sexy! i'm going to see if i can talk him into a few party sessions for everyone, i'm debating to get back into DJing and i think if we can get some more gear we will take this show on the road!!!

it's a special Ladies birthday today so i'm gonna give her a special mention! Georgia Love! HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY DARLIN!!!!! i hope you are having an epic day, chatting to me on skype :) i promise you i will be around for your 18th next year :) i miss you sweetie :) xxxxx

Go check out this Other Blog! it's done by a good friend of mine :) absolutely brilliant Blogger http://www.belovedjaine.blogspot.co.uk/

it's time to say goodbye now, i hope i've managed to entertain you guys with my Ramblings (With a capitol R, thank you very much). thats all for this week guys...... Hopefully Virgin media will decide to drop off my new modem by then...... otherwise it might be awhile....... take care Bloggers!
